She is a professor and former Dean of the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing at Case Western University. She is currently director of the Marian K. Shaughnessy Nurse Leadership Academy Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing CWRU. Dr. Fitzpatrick has advanced nursing education through research, innovative conceptual models, and theory development. She provides consultation globally to schools of nursing and health care organizations. She is widely published in nursing and health care literature. She is the recipient of many local, national, and global awards.
